PREPARATION

Wear loose clothing
It is advisable to avoid tight fitting clothing as during drying time this will wear off your spray tan. Avoid wearing a bra with straps.

Exfoliate – Prepare the skin by thoroughly exfoliating using a loofah, exfoliating gloves or body scrub.
Concentrate on dry areas of the body such as elbows, feet and knees.
Waxing – 48 hours prior
Shaving – 24 hours prior.

Skin
Your body should be free of all moisturising products, deodorant and make-up. Remove all jewellery before application.

Avoid water and exercise or any activity that will induce perspiration if possible during your spray tan development time. This time can vary depending on your desired spray tanning product.

After Care
Once your development time is up you can shower as usual.
To look after your tan we advise you pat dry your skin, wash using soap free products and moisturize at least once a day.
Remember your tan has no sun protection so you will require the appropriate Sun Care protection as recommended by the Cancer Council of Australia.

WILL I GO ORANGE?
No, SPRAYTANZ use organic solutions that produce a natural, even result every time.

Is it safe?
Spray tanning is a safe sunless tanning alternative to achieving a natural looking tan. The active ingredient DHA is not absorbed into your skin and there is no known toxicity.

Can I get a spray tan if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Our spray tanning solution contains no harsh chemicals or prabens. We do advise you consult your medical practitioner before a spray tan.

How long does it last?
Your spray tan will last up to seven days depending on the desired solution and aftercare of your spray tan.

How does spray tanning work?
The active ingredient DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) solution reacts with the amino acids in your epidermis (the outer layer of your skin). The two oxidize together creating the tan colour on your skin. Your tan will fade as your skin naturally exfoliates away its dead skin cells.

After my first shower the colour washed off is this normal?
During your initial shower after your spray tan the bronzer in your tanning solution will wash away to reveal your spray tan result.

What do I wear?
Wear whatever is most comfortable for you; clients range from wearing a bikini, full brief, G-String or naked. It is totally up to you!
